Printing A4 and Letter

How to set up your printer so the book comes out at the right size.

Updated on October 15, 2026

A4 or Letter?

Our digital books come in two sizes. A4 (8.27 × 11.69 in) is the standard in Brazil and Europe. Letter (8.5 × 11 in) is the standard in the United States and Canada. Download the one that matches your paper.

Print settings

  • Scale: choose "Actual size" or 100%. Avoid "Fit to page", which shrinks the art and the margins.
  • Paper size: the same as the file (A4 or Letter). If it does not match, the program may crop the edge.
  • Orientation: leave it automatic unless the book has landscape pages.
  • Quality: use "Normal" or "High" for coloring pages. Draft mode makes the lines faint.
  • Color: coloring books look fine in black and white. Illustrated books look better in color.

Paper and materials

  • Colored pencils and crayons work well on regular printer paper.
  • Markers and watercolor need thicker paper to avoid bleeding through. On regular paper, print on one side only.
  • For a longer-lasting book, use heavier paper and a sturdier cover sheet.

Printing only some pages

In the print dialog, choose "Pages" and type the range (for example 3-8 or 1,4,9). You print only what you will use and save ink and paper.

Putting the book together

For a binder or notebook, use a hole punch and rings, a spiral or staples. If you print on both sides, check that the printer flips on the long edge. Want it ready-made? When available, the printed edition is sold on Amazon and the link is on the product page.

Something went wrong?

If a page came out cropped or at the wrong size, it is almost always the scale or the paper size. If the problem persists, write to creative@pixelcorp.space with the book title and a photo of the printed sheet.
